‘Amber Ghost’ has a very unique and delightful coloration. In spring, the new leaves emerge with coral pink and white tones that contrast with pronounced green veins. In summer the leaves are a soft amber-pink, still accented by the green veins. Fall colors are bright orange, red and yellow. This tree is a vigorous grower. It grows best in partially or fully shaded areas. Averages 10 feet in height and 10 feet in width in 10 years.

‘BENI SCHICHIHENGE’

'Beni schichihenge’ is an upright tree with beautifully variegated leaves in shades of pinkish-orange and green with vivid white margins. The small lobed palmate leaves are highly ornamental, and the variegation makes every leaf seem unique. The Japanese translation for ‘Beni schichihenge’ means “red and changing”. The name translated means “purple smoke”. This beautiful variegated tree has a vase-like shape. The deeply divided leaves emerge a deep purple color with lime green variegation. ‘Hana matoi’ has a mounding form and weeping branches. This laceleaf variety leafs out in early spring as bright red with hot pink variegation. In shaded areas, the lacy leaves are a combination of pink, white, and green variegation. Exposure to full sun brings deeper red colors. The leaves transition to vivid reds and pinks in the fall. ‘Lileeanne’s Jewel’ has a rare variegation of pink and white on a bright cherry red and heavily divided leaf.  In spring, new leaves emerge a bright red with pink and white markings, turning to green-red with pink and white markings in summer. As cooler temperatures arrive in fall, the leaves turn crimson-red with hot pink. The pink and white variegation on the leaves is remarkably consistent throughout the seasons.
